Weekend Recap

by Emily Satzger in

How amazing is this fall weather, we had the windows opened in our house all weekend.  As a result I am currently writing this with a blanket around me as I sit at our kitchen counter.  So worth it though, there's nothing better then airing out the house.

This weekend was wonderful, my dad and step-mom came down Friday evening and we went to Shem Creek for dinner.  R and I don't go to Shem Creek nearly enough, it's nice to eat on the water, the one bone I have to pick with Charleston is not enough water front dining.

Saturday I worked and came house to R and my step-mom cooking the most delicious meal, beef tenderloin, horseradish stuffed potatoes, and the best chopped salad you've ever tasted!  We sat in our dining room, something we rarely do and had a fine dining experience in our own house.

I LOVE my bud vases I purchased from Open Door Shop!

Sunday morning we got off to a late start and ended up eating lunch/brunch at one of our favorite spots, Hometeam!!!  R and I love to go there to watch football, eat just about anything on the menu, and drink "gamechangers."

The Gamechanger that will change your game my friends.

We keep beach chairs in the truck year round(just in case).  So we took them out to the beach for an impromptu lounge session ocean-side.  It was the perfect day to go to the beach(with jeans and a long sleeve shirt on).  There wasn't a cloud in the sky!

It was so nice to spend the day with my dad and step-mom since I had to work the day prior and didn't really get to visit with them a ton.  Thankfully they didn't have to leave at a certain time and were able to spend the day with us.

After they hit the road R and I needed to get Mr. Boone outside for some fresh air and exercise.  We headed to our go to spot, Pitt Street Bridge.  It's always beautiful out there, a palm tree lined street surrounded by the water and marsh is hard to beat period.

My two favorite boys in the world.

All in all it was a great, relaxing, and cool(literally) weekend...much needed!

Hope everyone has a great start to their week, Happy Monday!!
