Winter Boots

by Emily Satzger in

R told me last night 42 out of the lower 48 states are going to receive snow this week...can you believe that?!  I hope this is not foreshadowing of the type of weather we're going to have this winter.  Although Charleston doesn't have winter's like the majority of the country, it's still been unusually cool down here for November.

And you know what cool weather does to me...makes me think about cold weather clothing, because that's normal, right?!  Last year when we had the ice storms down here I had just about nothing to wear outside.  I looked foolish, clothed in about 40 layers with a ski coat that's 10 years old.  Which is comical, because I spent 4 years at Appalachian where that type of weather was the norm and I had a closet full of clothing specifically suited for it.

One of my favorite people in the world, Elle, who also lives in New York, recently reached out to me about winter boots.  In the last year or so winter boots have become an essential part of an outfit(and are functional).  So it got me thinking and I thought I would share my favorites with y'all!

Check out some of my favorite "winter boots" looks...

I currently don't own a pair of winter boots, but one of these pairs are at the top of my Christmas list this year.

I think the lining is a must, my feet have poor circulation so I can't go without a lining.  This color way is great, but I love the grey too!

Obsessed!

I'm curious to know how heavy these are, they definitely would keep you warm!

These may be my favorites, they're a little intense, but there is no question about warmth.  I think these are great especially if you're up north and have to dredge through drifts of snow.

Hunter Boots are great, but they don't provide the warmth I need, so I need to buy these inserts!
