Paint on Our Walls

by Emily Satzger in

Finally!!!  We painted our house, well a portion of it, and it looks and feels so much better.  We both love neutrals and greys, so I went on Houzz and Pinterest and looked at 450 million greys!  We finally narrowed it down to Benjamin Moore Classic Gray and Gray Owl.  We also painted our ceilings, Benjamin Moore White Dove.

Classic Grey is the a lighter shade of grey, and it has brightened our house up a ton.  We used this color throughout the house with the exception of the rooms upstairs(we didn't paint them) and our dining room and powder room.  We painted the dining room and powder room Gray Owl, which is a little darker.

Here are the results!!!

Classic Gray really pops the trim, and the ceiling color, White Dove, is not too stark but enough of a contrast.  The man at the paint store told me White Dove was there most popular color!  Please ignore the massive dog bed!

Onto the dining room...the picture makes it look like it has a little green in it, but it looks much more gray in person.

PS we finally got a new light fixture in the dining room!!!  YAY!!!  You don't understand how happy I was to finally get a new light fixture, it's really made our entire downstairs in my opinion.

And remember me talking about painting our back door black?!!  Well we did, and it was the best decision, R and I both can't get over how awesome it turned out.
