Today's our last day at the Lake :( we are heading back to R's parent's house in OH for the weekend, since they're looking after Boone while we live in temp housing before moving into our new home!! These past two weeks have been wonderful, filled with pure relaxation, margaritas at noon, and fishing until 8pm(ps if my day job doesn't work out I may have a knack for fishing). Now it's time to get into a new city and new routine. We are both getting more and more excited to get to Chicago. It's been so nice to have this time to relax and mentally prepare for our new adventure. Now onto what I've been digging...
LISTENING: So y'all know I'm a music junkie, and I found an amazing playlist on Spotify...The New Retro...it's perfect. Two of my favorites from the playlist are below...
1)Moving to Brussels...your new favorite song, you're welcome!
2) Leon Bridges, if you don't know him yet you HAVE to LISTEN to him stat! Smooth Sailin is my jam!
MAKING: Well I haven't exactly done the cooking I thought I would do at the lake. We have sampled the local Applebee's, B'Dubs, Mexican restaurant, and a few frozen pizzas. Hmm....sounds super healthy right, ha! Needless to say we've been paddle boarding, running, and staying plenty active to counter balance our nutritious consumption of food. I see a detox in my future ;)
BUYING: Maybe this no working thing isn't too great on my wallet. I've spent way too much time searching for sales on clothing and shoes. In my search I did find an AMAZING deal, these Billy Reid boots are on super sale. I figured I'll be wearing them in 3 months(true fact) so why not take advantage of this deal.
DRINKING: Lots of margaritas, here's my favorite recipe...
1 shot of tequila
juice of 1 lime
1/4 cup of soda water(I pour mine till it's almost to the top)
splash of OJ
REMINISCING: Every sunset at the lake is perfect, even if the weather was crummy during the day the sunsets still seem to pull through. Fishing is my new favorite hobby, seriously though, I have fished every chance I've gotten over the last week and I've caught several decent fish including a 23 inch pike, what-what! Most importantly we've had time to ourselves and with each other, so so important. Now onto Chicago!!!!
